F&R Jackson Ltd operates various Sandstone Quarries; Windy Hill Quarry being our main quarry which is situated in the picturesque area of outstanding natural beauty that is Teesdale in County Durham.
Our sandstone quarry produces a beautifully buff colored stone which has been used for centuries to build the traditional drystone walls of the North. We have supplied this stone to the farms and landed estates of Northern England since 1973.
The stone is widely used for paving, walling, rockeries and garden features as well as traditional drystone walling. Most recently proving popular for building of dry stone walls and shooting butts as it has a very pleasing appearance in a natural landscape.
Our team of highly skilled stonemasons with years of experience are able to supply sandstone heads, cills, lintels, hearths and steps etc. to customer specification.
